Prove It [piano v22|3s]

about

This was inspired by a moment during a grocery shopping trip where a person almost ran into me with their cart. I remember it felt like I was invisible; they just kept traveling down the isle like normal, expecting me to move or something. It was very strange. It reminded me of other moments in my life where I tried to belong somewhere but it felt like nothing I said or did was getting through to anyone.

lyrics

Wash yesterday off my skin
Watch video evidence of something
I never thought I could be
Guess it's the future that favored me

I'm here, I'm here but I
Can't prove it
I can't move a muscle at all
What good would telling the truth even do?

You make a choice or a choice makes you
A bad impression an innocent misjudgement
You can't stumble into a light
You have to say yes and say it right

It's clear this mirror doesn't want to see
I fear this fear has it out for me

Take Turns in a sphere lit night
Acting learned but realizing nothing
Just happens out of the blue
I've got a case of a grip too lose

I'm here right here but you can't feel me
You can't feel the pleasure at all
What good would asking for the truth even do?

I'm here, I'm here but I
Can't prove it
I can't move a muscle at all
What good would telling the truth even do?

A name is a container. I covet the remainder. All of below. Part of above. I tell my story with temperance and love, lullabying along. It'll all make sense in context, I show myself in song.
